     Once again, things have been so busy that there just hasn't been a lot of time to update my journal.  One of the biggest problems is that the connection from the farmhouse is flakey at the best of times, and by the time I get home at "sometime after midnight" I'm really not in the mood to deal with that.  So my updates are often left until ( Read more... )

     In a word, INCREDIBLE!  This is the Norwegian soprano, Sissel Kyrkjebø, performing Auld Lang Syne in multiple languages for New Year's.  I don't know about anyone else, but the music and imagery gets me pretty choked up.  :)

So, this is 2009...

2008 was certainly an adventure.  Nothing happened the way it was supposed to, yet things did happen, and we all survived to tell the tales.  Some things were bad, but most of them were good, or looked bad at first but turned out to be good when you stepped back and saw the big picture.  I'll eventually compile a 2008 wrap-up, ( Read more... )
